responsibilities

  • Promote & maintain high-quality, professional collaboration with all internal and external customers
  • Work closely with other Akamai Solutions Engineers, reporting to Akamai BU Director
  • Develop & maintain technical documentation, ensure all service level agreements and related service objectives are met

skills & experience

  • 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Internet technologies including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS and web servers required
  • Experience implementing enterprise scale, n-tier solutions with direct client exposure required. Data processing, Real Time Reporting & Analytics as a plus
  • Experience with digital media technologies, UNIX and one or more web development languages, methodologies, and/or architectures
  • Working knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
  • Experience with TCP/IP network debugging with tcpdump or similar
  • Excellent business writing, presentation and communication skills
